Will it work on my Mac?
Claro requires macOS 14 or later and an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer). It’s a native Mac app, available as a direct download.
Can I try it for free?

Where can I use it?
In the text fields you already use: messages, documents, email, browser apps and coding tools. Place your cursor, then use your Claro shortcut. No separate integrations to set up.
What permissions does Claro need?
Microphone access to hear your dictation, and Accessibility access to insert text into your active app. Setup walks you through both. Claro listens when you start a dictation, not all the time.
Does it work without the internet?
Yes, after you download the offline backup in Settings. It supports a smaller set of languages than cloud dictation. AI enhancement and context memory still need the cloud; turn them off for fully offline use.
Will it change what I say?
You decide. Use Exact Transcript for transcription, or choose a mode for cleanup, formatting or translation. Automatic Text Cleanup can also be switched off in Settings.
